Dr. Gabriela Rolland-Asensi, DMD
A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Gabriela Rolland-Asensi, is a native of Venezuela, where she attended Dental School and practiced general dentistry. Dr. Rolland moved to Miami and completed a General Dentistry Residency at Miami Children’s Hospital where she went on to become Chief Resident. Later, she completed her postdoctoral training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Rolland joined the faculty at Nova Southeastern University where she trained and supervised the post-doctoral students on the use of conscious sedation. While teaching at Nova, she attended Dental School again to obtain her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in the United States.
Today, Dr. Rolland is in private practice in Miami and is Chief of the Department of Dentistry at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital as well.
Dr. Daniel Camacho, DMD, MS
Daniel Camacho, DMD, MS, is a dedicated and compassion orthodontist who has joined Miami Children’s Smiles, Pediatric dentistry and Orthodontics since 2020. Dr. Camacho strives to deliver personalized, evidence-based treatments of the highest standard to all his patients. Moreover, he is a certified Invisalign provider and is passionate about children’s orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and is fluent in Spanish
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut. Subsequently he attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class. Dr. Camacho completed his specialty training at Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. He now holds an appointment of Adjunct Professor of Orthodontics at this prestigious institution and has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Camacho completed a 30-month specialty residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, earning both a certificate in orthodontics and a master’s degree. During his residency, he was actively involved in teaching junior residents, and also served as director of the biomechanics course.
