The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that every child have an orthodontic evaluation no later than 7 years of age. Early findings and treatment offers the advantage of correcting anomalies on time that otherwise can hinder the normal development of a child’s bite.
Orthodontia evaluation looks into patience’s habits or conditions that include the following:
- Tongue thrusting
- Thumb sucking
- Snoring and mouth breathing
- Abnormal bite
- Irregular or gap spaces among teeth – evident at eye site or diagnosed through X rays.
